Note: I do like to tailor my resume and cover letter for any jobs I apply to, so these standard versions may not match the version you receive.
Welcome to my personal web page. After 18 years in the Electronics industry I wanted somewhere that I could provide more information than I can cover in a 2 page resume. I also wanted something a little less formal to let my personality show.

I am a electronics designer in Calgary AB with 18 years of experience and a diverse skillset. I'm an extremely out of the box, throw everything at the wall style designer who can apply valuable experience at all stages of product development.

I follow true to the role of a technologist in bridging the gap between theoretical and practical. I am just as comfortable capturing and laying out a design in Altium, as I am building a board, throwing it in the temperature chamber, and modifying the board to make it work. I've even been known to document my work occasionally.

Scope of Practice
Within the discipline of electronics engineering: designing, evaluating, and preparing plans and specifications for electronic control systems (including PCB Design) for manufacturing and customer review and for suitability for environmental requirements that is the routine application of industry recognized codes, standards, procedures and practices using established engineering or applied science principles and methods of problem solving.

Personal Core Values
Most companies have a set of core values that they always try to live up to. These are my personal core values.
1) Safety Comes First, Always
Whether it is personal safety, that of my co-workers, or Safety of the public in my designs, safety should always come first.
2) Understanding before action
I Understand the problem before I fix it, the requirements before I design it, and the working principals before I use them.
3) Test the %#$& out of it
If I haven't broken it, I haven't tested it hard enough.
4) Continuous Improvement
I apply this to both myself, and the projects I work on. I am passionate about always growing and improving myself.
